An Evening at the Pumpkin Patch

While my parents were at the Life Today taping, we entertained ourselves at Hall's Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine.

Jackson did A LOT of running.

Like I said, A LOT of running.

He liked the scarecrow.

He was inside a little house made of hay bales.

This was the corn maze that we didn't go in because (A) It was $5 a person AND (B) The thought of Jackson having a tantrum inside and not being able to find our way out immediately was too scary.

My selections. All the pumpkins at this place had great stems. Jackson was beginning to have a meltdown here.

Armageddon is coming.

Thank God for the wagons.

Must...escape...quickly!

Fall is my favorite season. It has been a lot of years since we have visited a pumpkin farm. I am going to look and see if they have one close to us.

I can't believe how BIG Jackson is getting. He looks so grown up in all these pictures. My favorite picture is the one with him and curtis and Jackson's mouth is open! PRECIOUS!!! Miss you and love you!

I still can't deal with that "big boy" haircut. Seriously. I don't know how you or your mom are even holding up.

I bet it felt great to be able to wear jeans:)

I was wearing my old Victorias Secret jacket to work last night( I was cold, and it was in my trunk.)LOL.

Have a great day:)

Is it wrong to be a little glad that your adorable boy has thrown a tantrum or two in his life? Because really, if you had that perfect hair you have AND a perfect kid with perefect eyelashes, it might just be too much perfectness (yes, it is a word) for me.

He is so adorable.

Love going to the pumpkin patch- it is one of my most favorite (does that sound right?! Oh well.) family activities.

Except this year when it was 100 degrees and sweat was pouring off our bodies. At least it offered a nice glue like substance for the red clay to adhere to. But still,, always one of my favorite memories. Seriously:-)

Jackson is SO stinkin' cute...he just has the sweetest little face, even when he isn't happy!

You must be so proud. Oh, how fast they grow. He no longer looks like a baby but a young man. He is so very precious-savor every minute. Life passes so quickly!! I love ya'll so much.

Looks like the little guy just had too much fun! The expression on his face in the scarecrow picture cracked me up!

too precious. i see you have reached the age of the "mega-meltdowns" oh dear, sara is 2 1/2 and we are still there- the only good part is that I am starting to be able to reason with her (sometimes!) He is beautiful Amanda- I love the one of the 2 of ya'll - too cute!!

That looks like such a cute place and Jackson is such a doll!

We went to the one in Flower Mound, but your pictures blew ours away. Most of ours are of the back of Park's head as he ran off. We got one good one of him petting a horse, but there is not a pumpkin in sight:) Of course, we had no where to go but up from last year's pics, so my expectations where pretty low!

Jackson just keeps getting cuter and cuter, as if that's even possible! Also, I love his fall plaid shirt. :) Y'all are an adorable family.

I feel you on the maze and no quick escape! With a 3yr old and a 18 month old we need to know that van is not too far away.

I LOVE wagons. I have a great pic of my two kids with their Papa(my dad) last year at the Christmas tree farm. this is my favorite time of year. Oh- and stockings are my all time favorite about Christmas as well!!

I treasure the family times like this where you are just enjoying the simple things in life...like pumpkins.

Amanda, the pics are so cute, having a little man of my own (11 now), I am amazed at how they can run for such a long time, throw the worst fits when tired, and totally steal our hearts....and all along I thought men learned all that in gym class..they are born with it! Love ya, enjoy your mama and have a great weekend!

Oh that looks like fun! I love pumpkin patches, they are one of my favorite fall traditions. We haven't been yet...it's kinda hard to get in the mood when it still in the upper 80's...but it's starting to cool off now, so I'm sure we'll go soon! He's adorable, by the way, seriously adorable!

Those are some pretty pumpkins!!!
And yes, thank the Lord for wagons! I used to put my babies in them and walk around our driveway to get them to fall asleep! Sometimes you've got to do whatever it takes. :)

Looks like a fun day.

We've been praying for your Mom's voice/cold! Looking forward to seeing the new teaching on Life Today.

Blessings,
stephanie

That is a DARLING pumpkin patch! Let's go there if you want to go again!

And I LOVE the stockings! Couldn't be cuter.

Amanda,
The pictures are too cute! We don't go into the maze either for the same reason and "I have to go potty"...

Happy Birthday! May God bless you today and all year! You even get to have your parents there to celebrate too, that makes it even better. Hope your day is special!
Love,
Kathleen

That looks like so much fun except for the Armageddon fit at the end - hehe :)
I totally sympathize.
My little guy is so loud that the other day a neighbor said "He has some lungs on him. I truly think he might have broken the sound barrier!"
Yes thank you!!
Now I am fervently praying God will use that passion for His glory!!
God bless birthday girl!

I almost feel like I need to nap after seeing him run run run! I love the picture of you. It's great! Of course, all of the ones of Jackson are just precious. He's so adorable that I just can't stand it! Do y'all ever just get tired running after him?

Thanks for the pictures which turned into a recommendation! We went today and it was beautiful. I am sure that this week will be the best week to go with the cooler temps coming this way! Your Jackson is soooo cute! My DeClan was unimpressed (11 months) SMILE, but my other two LOVED it! Thanks again!
