Seriously?? I'm in shock. I thought girls looking like hoochies at the age of 8 was a good thing. Anyone else with me here???

(The above statement was obviously dripping in sarcasm - lol.)

Amanda, this is a very accurate article. There is way too much sexual innuendo and outright immorality and impurity on TV-there shouldn't be any. I think that TV has way more influence on us than we think. I know that the pull to be impure in this day and age is strong. It's not seen as a big deal to be impure. I am finding out that many of my friends have dealt with sexual sin that has caused them to have feelings of unforgiveness, condemnation, and even the feeling that they are not deserving of their legitimate, God honoring, marital rights. They feel undeserving of pleasure within the bounds of marriage. They don't know how to enjoy their God-given spouse. I have also known some girls who have gotten pregnant out of wedlock. The Lord has used it for good in their lives, but, the emotional after effects of the sin are there, and they have to deal with that. I didn't make the right choices either. I sinned horribly. I'm not proud of myself. I know the Lord has forgiven me. He has been so very good to me. I have been able to tell my friends that God forgives and heals. I am praying, even now, that the Lord would enable my children, if I have any, to be completely pure before marriage. I'm praying hard for that. This is an issue that I pray that our youth would really understand the implications of the sin of impurity.

And I think it's safe to say that the people who spent years on this study probably make A LOT more money than most of us do...nice.

I read this article in yesterday's paper and wondered what is wrong with society that we need to do a study to understand this concept....go figure.
