A New Meaning to the Term "Cup Size"

Tonight Jackson was eating some leftover mini corn dogs from our lunch at Pappadeaux. I was sitting a few feet away where I could still see him but be in the living room with Annabeth. She was on the floor on her playmat. Jackson had super human energy - I guess from the ring pop he'd been working on all day - and couldn't stay in his seat. Every couple of minutes he'd come over and ask me for something. At one point he got close to his sister and said, "Annabeth, I want to give you a corn dog!"

I said, "No, baby, Annabeth can't eat food yet. She can only drink milk." I can just see my daughter laying there with a mini corn dog sticking out of her mouth.

Jackson got real close to me. "Milk, Mommy?"

He peered down my shirt and poked me in the chest. "From that cup?"

He slays me.

Our son was just on a roll tonight - Annabeth had her first really good laughing session while we were all sitting together at the table. She was in my lap facing Jackson. Curt told him to make silly faces at her so she would laugh. Sure enough, she thought her brother was hilarious and laughed and laughed.

Before we had kids, Curt and I hoped they wouldn't be boring and drag our oh-so-exciting lives down. I'd say they're anything but boring.

Hilarious!! My sweet daughter has taken to giving her stuffed squirrel milk, just like Mommy does "Baby Joe". It is a sight to behold. They are truly amazing aren't they?! I CANNOT imagine life with them.

How cute! While I was nursing each of my three kids, each one said that I had a "chocolate side" and a "strawberry side" once they could talk! The things they come up with... :)

Aw, I love Jackson's insight. And I love that he makes his sister laugh. What a precious boy you are raising!

And may I say that I exclaimed out loud at the word Pappadeaux. Mmmmmmmmmmm. There's one in Denver. If we ever have a date night, that may just be where we go.

Much love to you this week!

That's hilarious!!!! Kids say the craziest things sometimes....they are so cute! My nephew Cole had my by the hand today checking out all of my dad's heavy equipment and his dad's (my little brother) truck on the quest for a lizard we had seen earlier. Don't think that we were looking for the lizard at that point but he kept saying "the lizard's over here"....he slays me!

P.S. I think of you every day because I'm now half bald and have those crazy "baby bangs".

Out of the mouths of babes!! Jackson is a sharp little guy-don't you wonder what goes through his little mind! Well, maybe not..he's got an amazing vocabulary so he may just say what he's thinking.

I love watching little ones laugh those deep tummy laughs! They just make me happy.......

There is no more beautiful sound than a baby laughing out loud!! I love it!!! Of course, "out of the mouths of babes" come some of the most hilarious things known to man. I didn't want boring children either (even though they may be the best behaved). I wanted children that would grow into interesting adults. Jackson is on his way.

Cute! We've always had cats and dogs in the house. After the kids were born...the animals just weren't as cute or entertaining any more. They still make us laugh, at 20 and 11 years old.

Write this stuff down in a book!

I'm sorry to bother you with this, but do you know who made your cake for your LPM baby shower? I'm supposed to order a cake for my friend's shower and just loved that yours was different than a traditional sheet or round cake. Thanks!

ha ha!! He's so funny! Matt told Emma when I was eating chocolate ice cream that Mollie would get chocolate milk and she believed him! I bet that was so sweet Annabeth laughing at Jackson!

The day we found out Liz was a girl we went and picked out some clothes for her. I got her swimsuit at Baby Gap - it was last season though. Thanks for the cake shop info!

I remember those days...in our house it was ice cream. Big sissie was so anxious to share the joys of ice cream with her baby sister. Now that they're 5 & 3 it's fun to watch them sit side-by-side and eat it together!

Just the other night hubs and I looked at each other and wondered what made us laugh before we had them. Neither of us is half as amusing as our kids! I was laughing so hard last night as they ran up to take a bath! Kids are the best!
