Party at the Jones House

We are home. Praise the Lord. The doctor released Curtis yesterday afternoon. My wonderful in-laws arrived early that morning to help with the care of the little ones.

Just as we were settling into bed last night, we heard a weird sound that made me think, "Please, no!" But it was so. Jackson had a stomach virus. Jackson hasn't had one this bad since he was a baby and I was initially sort of frozen. But Cozy leaped into action and was amazing.

I fully expect to come down with this judging by the close contact I had with my boy yesterday and through the night. I'm just praying it comes quickly. I hate that Nana and Pappaw arrived just in time to fellowship in our virus. Hopefully everyone else - especially Curtis - will be spared.

just fyi, i'm 12 weeks pregnant and have been crying a ton....but nothing has made me cry as much as your last post. Seriously. I could not stop blubbering. I'm so glad you guys are home, and while the virus is a major set-back, I hope you can enjoy some time together. Being sick is the pits. Being in the hospital is the pits. But being together....well, praise God for that. I will be praying for you all as you champion forth.

I was awakened around 2:45 this morning to the sound of my 4 year old shrieking - he was throwing up in his bed! Nothing like that sound - and smell! Fortunately, it was a one and done event. Now I am praying it was something he ate and not a virus that will run through our house.
Prayers for Curtis as he recovers!

Bless your hearts! Goodness, that's no fun, but I'm glad that Curtis got to come home and is feeling better! Now, hopefully, Mr. Jackson will get better and not share his germs with the rest of the fam. Toddlers don't like to share anyways, right?! ha!

Oh Amanda, the stomach bug is THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I'll be praying for you guys. And for your mom, too, that she doesn't get it since she was with Jackson the day before.

Oh, Amanda! I'm so sorry that Jackson is sick, poor baby! I'm praying for a quick recovery and that our great Exterminator will get rid of his bug without anyone else getting sick. I'm really glad that Curtis is home with you and his parents are able to be there, what a blessing their presence is at this time for you. I can imagine the feeling in your own tummy when you heard him!

Kennedy is doing better, sleeping 6-7 hrs and eating very well. She's still not totally happy, but Mommy says she's trying real hard to smile! Thank you for your prayers-they're felt in all our hearts!

Let's get our families healthy and enjoy the summer. I'll continue to pray for all the Joneses and maybe you'll be able to really fellowship with Nana and Pappaw before they go home!

I'm so glad he's home!!! Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

Sounds like, though, there's more healing needed in your household. Prayer for God's healing powers for Jackson and for His protection for the rest of you.

Agape dear one.

Oh, Amanda, I am so sorry to hear about Curtis. I can't imagine all you've been through the past week. I will be praying for Curtis' complete healing and Jackson too! That's awesome that you & Curtis got to reconnect and have some good laughs together in the hospital. God is so good to bring good from bad situations! I want to bring you a meal whenever Curtis' family has to go back home.
