Janelle, Emily, Amanda, Vonda, Mandy, Hailee, and me after our college ministry's Big Tex Square Dance tonight. They helped us sweep all the hay off the floor and entertain the babies. What would we do without them?!?! We love you, girls!
The friends and volunteers who stay and help clean up after an event always have my love and appreciation. Amanda, looks like you have a great group of helpers.
Also to answer your question-yes, on Star Pizza. It is awesome! Although Colinas pizza gives it good competition.
Oh the memories of fall square dances. My husband and I got engaged on a youth group retreat (thankfully, we were counselors, not students) and the annual square dance was immediately following his proposal.
Nothing says romance like hay in your hair, chaps on your legs and a slightly cranky square dance caller trying to direct 200 high school students to "swing your pardner."
Oh how I love me some girlfriends! God really blesses us with His love by giving us some good ones :) Oh and square dancing - I love it - grab your partner and do si do!!! Much love, Kim
What fun! I also work with college students--what a privilege to get to speak into their lives at such a formative time. I just discovered your blog through another minister's wife blog.
That is a pretty group of ladies you've got there! Are they some of your Bible study group!
ReplyDeleteAnd a square dance!!! That sounds fun, of course I'd be stepping all over everyone's feet. But I would have fun doing it!!!
Blessings,
stephanie
