130 pictures were taken at the fair on Saturday with my camera. This is one out of three that I appear in. Here I am telling Jackson that a donkey says, "HEE HAW! HEE HAW!"
Big Bird bit a girl's finger only seconds before we took this. That's why my boys are way off to the right.
Oh Amanda, it looks like it really was hot at the fair. Coming from a Grandma..."Jackson looks so hot, his cheeks are so red. Give him lots of water honey." ;) Those poor animals they look sooooo hot too with all that fur and then sitting in sawdust. I do love all your pictures though. Keep em coming.
and jackson on that tractor..there you go...raise 'em right with the john deer ;) my dad got one after i moved out...i was so sad! always wanted to ride one of those. push mowers are the pits!
haha!! that poor thing under all those wood shavings(?)!! guess she gave up..
Our state fair starts on the 12th and all of your pics made me so excited! I can't wait to take in all of the sights and smells...and definitely lots of fair food!!
Jackson makes an adorable Farmer Jones. Big bird was kind of creepy. He almost got a hold of Rodney's hat. Glad ya'll had a great second round at the fair.
Don'tcha (is that a real word?) just love the state fair!!! My kids love the whole farm exhibit where they can plant their own food and feed the animals and ride the tractors! They can do that at Grandpa's ranch, but not all in 30 mins! Great pictures (love the hen house!)
Love it!! All of it. You and I have something in common, I am never in any pics either. I try and I accomplish a few but other then that it is always the little ones and My man. It was hot I can tell. Jackson's cheeks are red in almost every pic but it doesn't look like he cared! What a great smile especially on the John Deere!
Don'tcha just love the fact that kids love animals. God made 'um so dadblasted cute, the kids just can't resist. And parents love kids who love animals--we serve an awesome God!!!! Jackson is really so cute and growing like a weed!!
Hi, I've been "lurking" for a while, finding you from several friends' blogs, but now I have to say...we're going to the state fair next weekend and your pictures got me so excited!!!!! We were looking at info. online (we live in Ark.) and were wondering, do you have to buy food with coupons or do they take cash? My 3 year old is going to love that "farm". :) mwsandusky@hotmail.com
there aren't many "mommy and me" pictures in our album either!! how is that - my dad always took all thepictures when i was a kid. looks lke great fun. i sure do miss texas. lived there for 10 years!!!
Well now, you just know I'm tickled to pieces that I got to see all these pictures!!!! Thank you for sharing them. I think you might be as bad as I am about not getting in any of the pictures. My kids are going to have kids one day who are going to have kids (etc.) and they are going to wonder what I looked like! I despise having my picture made!!!
I'm a happy little camper right now. Thank you! Cathy
The fair here was lots of fun too (it is apparently the oldest in the nation), but they didn't have corn dogs, or funnel cakes. These New Englanders! Sheesh! lol
Wow - Texas has awesome Fairs...that petting zoo is the greatest!
North Alabama's animal petting facilities aren't nearly so sanitary...Am I right in thinkin' you saw our low budget field trip pics to the Poop Zoo? :)
he's sooo cute, those eyes and that smile! he will be quite the catch one of these days! :) question, i have been looking at Rob Bell and Donald Miller (so the emergent church movement?).. well, i really respect how you articulate a balance of your faith, but reality with today's society.. do you mind sharing your opinion one of these days on that whole movement, or at the very least, those authors?
Oooh Amanda, I just love your little guy. He is so precious. Whenever you post your pics I just want to grab him, cuddle and kiss those cheeks like only a grandma can.
I love the look on Jackson's face in the first pic where he's on the tractor/wagon! :)
