...a sprinkler toy.
...getting sprayed in the face.
...trying to get a drink.
...sitting in the grass in your diaper and managing to avoid any ant hills, dog piles, or rashes.
...Daddy running through the sprinkler with you...
...in his clothes.
...a daddy with big muscles.
...a husband who can come home from work and five minutes later be full of energy in the backyard with his son. I love you, Curtis. You're a great dad.
Oh, your pictures make me wish summer was here. We actually had snow flurries yesterday here in Springfield! I am jealous! Cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My 4yr old was wanting to run through the sprinklers today but it was a little too windy here. Great pictures Amanda!
ReplyDeleteThat makes me smile! : )
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome that he is out there in his clothes! I love it when dads just let go and don't worry about anything other than having fun with their kids. My hubs is really good about that as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda, for allowing us to read your blog and walk through this life with you. You're a blessing fellow MOP! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny that when we're dating we have such grand visions of how marriage and life with our man will be...and then it ends up being these small things that make us love them so much! :)
That looks like SO much fun! The last pic is my favorite. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteThat IS some happiness right there! Those pictures are awesome, you can't help but smile when you see that little cutie in the grass!
ReplyDeleteI like how Curt is showing his muscles to himself because Jackson isn't even looking at him. :) What a goof.
ReplyDeleteyou are kidding me - already - sprinkler time??? I am so not trying to be jealous!! ugh!! we were still in the 40's yesterday. oh gril - be oh so thankful!! I want to play too! love, Leigh
ReplyDeletePrecious! There's nothing quite like watching your husband and child playing and laughing together. Sheer and complete joy!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Tracy
That last one is such a great action shot!!! Love it. Can you send some of that summer weather our way. My two can't wait to be in diapers with sprinklers getting them wet.
ReplyDeleteCurtis keep on doing what you are doing it was those moments that I reminisce with my brothers and sisters about. My dad having fun and letting go after work
What sweet sweet pictures :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
ReplyDeleteI love it when my husband comes home. I take about 20 minutes after he arrives to not be 'in charge' of the toddler. Aaron always plays with Charles and I always hear laughing. I know it makes them both happy. I sometimes will stick around to watch and I love to see both of my guys loving on each other in 'man' language. Such a precious moment.
We have a similar sprinkler and Charles loves it. But it was hard for me to get a picture without getting wet.
Precious! I remember those baby days! My husband is a great Daddy like that too. We are so blessed...
ReplyDeleteDana
So sweet! See H-Town is working out. Here it is still to cold to get wet outside!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time!! I love the picture of Jackson catching the water in his mouth.
ReplyDeleteHe has the sweetest smile. Don't you just love to hear your child laugh? Curtis looks like he is having as much fun as Jackson. How did keep your dog from joining in on the fun? :o)
Have a wonderful day!
Love,
Patty
That is precious. Such a beautiful post. I love the last picture best of all.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I can't wait to see my own husband with our future children.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, is it that warm in Houston already?
ReplyDeleteHow fun!
I miss the sprinkler days! Then we had the slide days, those were fun too!
ReplyDeleteHe is a doll!
Jen
Oh how I love sprinklers...Can't wait 'til it's warm enough here!
ReplyDeleteIn regards to your text pic comment and crazy preacher's kids? My 8 yr old was timed-out in dad's office one night during Awana cause he was in trouble. I found out the next morning from a teacher at the school that he had been prank calling her son (whose number he had memorized) while he was incarcerated. Pretty mortifying for '**** Baptist Church' to show up on the caller id with someone heavy breathing and burping on the other end...LOL
Those pk's......:))
Lisa
I totally agree that all those things are happiness!
ReplyDeleteI love it when it gets warm enough to get out our water slide (imagine one of those bouncy inflatables with water attached in the shape of a slide). They LOVE it and it is great happiness and joy for me to see their happiness.
ANd there is NOTHING I love more than my hubby playing with our kids. I can honestly say there isn't anything in all the world that makes my heart swoon like that!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
In HIM -
Mindy
So cute!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the last picture. I thought I loved my husband as much as possible and with everything in me...and then I got to watch him become a daddy. I have to tell my heart to stay in my chest when they play and cuddle. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet!
ReplyDeleteI think that someone needs to go bathing suit shopping for her misters! That sure looks fun!
ReplyDeleteFitine
That is such a fun toy!! You know Ella would hate it though. Not so much a fan of water in her face.
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT post!! Jackson looks so cute and it is so great to have husbands that love their families!! I'm so thankful for mine!!
Have a GREAT week,
Dawn

ReplyDeleteThis is hysterical!
ReplyDeleteLet's see...this is the first week I am not wearing a jacket. That must count for something, right? :)
There is nothing like seeing my man play with my kids. yummy
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to get Woggie a sprinkler. He's just discovered the waterhose and we can't keep him away from it.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that sprinkler??
You can not have loved them any more than in these moments!
ReplyDeleteoooooo my ooooo my the "trying to get a drink" pic has to be the cutest and funniest picture!!!!!! i love it!!!!! he is darling!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is my FAVORITE! Oh the glee of a child when he's looking at his father.
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE that last picture! Frame it for Jackson's room! I miss Jackson's face when he's exhilarated by water hitting his face forcefully!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to have a husband that LOVES to play with the kids? Mine will do the same thing. Water guns, trampolines, board games, you name it. He puts me to shame!
ReplyDeleteAren't we so blessed?
I'm a little jealous that it's sprinkler weather there! We're still happy if it hits 65 in Indiana!
What a great daddy! Hope ya'll are enjoying a great spring.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!!
ReplyDelete...and I must add to your list that happiness is also green trees and green grass and warm weather for a sprinkler...and living close to grandparents...and working together.

ReplyDeleteSo precious!
Awwwh...I think your son is so joyful! What a gifted, bright, joyful little guy he is. Not knowing him at all but that is what I see when I see pictures of him. What a sweet family! You are so, so blessed, Amanda.

ReplyDeleteI love the look on Jackson's face in the last picture. It is so fun to see children in love with their daddy.
ReplyDeleteThose pics made me laugh especially the second one where it looks like it took Jackson's breath away - hehe
ReplyDeleteI do love hubby's that come home and have so much energy - my boys dressed as superheros last night and had a game of super hero soccer!
It was hilarious!
I am going to post it on my blog later even the one where my hubby is getting "dressed" as spiderman with the help of my 4 yr old - CRACKED ME UP!!
Have a great one!
Kim
Amanda - thank you so much for your sweet comment but ESPECIALLY for your prayers. I can't tell you how much they mean to me. God has revealed Himself to me BIG time today through so many sweet sisters! HE HEARS ME!!! :-) I just love Him so much!
ReplyDeleteVery, very lovely! :-)
ReplyDeleteNathan and I were just talking yesterday about how we are probably missing the bluebonnets right now. Glad you can get out and enjoy them! You'll have to get the requisite Texas family picture in the bluebonnets. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I must be a total retard. I could never figure out why that train was full of pumpkins.
Awww! Great pictures and very sweet comment at the end. Way to go Curtis! :)
ReplyDeleteHey girl, been looking for this sprinkler toy all week. do you remember where you got it and what it's called? thanks friend!
