Prayers for My Parents

Please pray for my mom and dad this morning. Last week we found out that their dog Beanie has cancer throughout her body. They will say goodbye to her this morning. I can't tell you how much they have loved their dogs and to lose them both in a span of three weeks is just hard. Thanks, y'all. My dad was in a car accident last night and no one was hurt. He fell asleep at the wheel driving back from Beanie's special vet in South Texas. He hit the guardrail while over a bridge, of all things. We know that God protected him and was with him. We are extremely grateful. I know God will let my mom and dad know He is with them today.

  3. Wow... I am sooo sorry about Beanie and what your parents must be going through. That is so sad! Not to mention your dad's accident.

Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you would supernaturally cover the Moore's with grace, strength and your hedge of protection. Father grant them peace and surround them with your sweet presence. In Jesus name, Amen.

  12. Oh wow, Amanda! First of all, I am SO glad that your dad is okay! What a scare. Secondly, I definitely will be in prayer as they say goodbye to Beanie today. I don't know why they have to lose both dogs so quickly but God does, of course, It doesn't seem fair - does it? I will pray that God will wrap His arms around your parents in a personal and extra special way.

    Amanda,
I'll be praying for your parents. Many years ago, my brother fell asleep at the wheel after working all night. He, too, hit a guardrail that saved his life from a deadly plung. Everytime we passed that guardrail we were reminded what a wonderful Father we have that takes care of us...even when we're sleeping. That reminds me of a great book I read..."God Works the Nightshift" by Ron Mehl. While we are sleeping, He's still at work.
    Blessings to your family.

  41. Oh Amanda...everything I can think of to say comes up short. I am so grateful that your dad is okay, but so sad to hear about Beanie. I'll be praying God's comfort for your family, especially your mom and dad, during this sad time...how lovely that our tears before our God are not in vain.

You keep track of all my sorrows.

You have recorded each one in your book.

  75. Oh Amanda,

I'm praying. I'm so sorry to hear the news about Beanie. God bless both your parents, these dogs are like our pets for Heaven's sake. After all, we have heard a number of Beanie and Sunni stories over the years.

I will be praying, but will also be praising God for protecting your dad in the accident, glad that he is okay and that was not as bad as it could have been. Thank you for sharing with us - I know your mom loves those puppies, bless their hearts.

I remember when we found out my parent's dog, Tanner, had cancer. She had many of the same symptoms your mom described for Beanie. It was so sad, my mom was so torn up over losing her dog. They bought her for my brother but ended up keeping her when he left home for marriage and college a few years later. She was a good dog, a loved dog and she is a missed dog. I know your parents will be feeling much the same.

May their faith spring up like a geyser, bursting through sorrow and fear. Cast out fear, Lord. Your Hand of blessing is upon them. It has not moved and it will not move. May they walk with courage and determination serving You...with their faces set like flint...focusing on You. Deliver them from evil. In Jesus Name. Amen.

  115. I am so sorry to hear this news. I will be keeping them in my prayers.
I am so thankful that your dad is okay. My parents were in an accident a few years ago. They were hit head on by a drugged driver. It's a scary thing to go through.

Give your mom an extra hug from me today! :)

  116. I am so so sorry for your overwhelming loss of both Sunny and now Beanie. Unbelievable in how close. So grateful for God protecting your daddy on a bridge. I've thought about you guys so much today and wanted you to know we are praying for you.
