I was just looking at some really old pictures and found these. I'm not sure if they ever made it on the blog back in the spring of 2007.
My daddy and his first grandson.
Jackson was just learning how to walk.
He's always happy when he's moving.
I could just eat this up like a caramel apple.
I see this expression multiple times a day.
This is classic Jackson Jones.
This is the one that got me crying. My beautiful boy.
Tomorrow we will get to see these very special friends. (Janelle and Heath)
These one- and three-day-olds are now four-year-olds.
We've been apart for two years already but we'll pick up right where we left off.
Jackson can't wait to see Ella.
He probably doesn't remember this house, but he still talks about his friends.
We will miss Ava and her baby sister, Clara. Ava, if we were going to be in Dallas next week, Jackson would bring you some cupcakes for your birthday. Remember when we visited Sprinkles when it first opened?
Happy birthday, sweet one!

So, so sweet Amanda! Sometimes pictures are worth more than a thousand words, don't ya think?
Have a beautiful Sunday!
SO CUTE!!! He is precious! I thought AB looked like her brother, and she does, but these baby pics of Jackson show me that they look a tiny bit different...but both equally adorable! :) Thanks for sharing!
These are so sweet! Hope your time with friends is refreshing as well as fun!
Isn't it a blessing to have good friends all over! I miss my friends in FL like crazy, but feel so blessed that the Lord provided great friends here too. It gives me a good reason to go visit a very beautiful place!
No words to sweet
Have a great weekend
Carol
Way too much cuteness!
Such a happy little Mister! I don't recognize any of the pics from previous posts, but that face is hard to forget! Ya gotta love that smile and his eyes!!!!
So, so sweet.
Such sweet pictures. I love the ones of Jackson with your dad.
My stepson is going to have his first child in April - a boy. So I will be a grandma! I love imagining sweet moments with my grandson as your parents have had with your son.
(And yes - I'm young to be a grandma. :))
Darling! I loved seeing them!
<><
How sweet! Jackson is so cute and has the prettiest eyes! I came across a video my sister made for me of my two boys when they were 5 & 3 years old. It was the funniest video and then at the very end she had my youngest sing, Jesus Loves Me, that made me cry.
Have a wonderful day with Janelle and her family!
Cute Pictures Amanda...
Jackson is so expressive...He is photogenic for sure. It has been fun to watch him grow up.
Blessings and have fun with your friends...
I totally see Annabeth in Jackson, but those pictures are so undeniably Jackson! It's funny to see their little personalities when we look back at pictures.
Sweet little pictures. It's amazing how fast they grow, isn't it?
It's amazing how much Jackson looks the same, and yet how grown he looks now! Thanks for sharing those gems!
He is one of the most beautiful little boys I've ever seen. I love, love, love how his whole personality comes jumping out in those eyes and cheeks and smile.
Sweetest pictures. Made me cry and I don't even know you! I have a two year old son and a newborn son (3 weeks old) so my hormones are weeping anyway. Thanks for sharing them Amanda, God bless the Jones family.
Hi Amanda...
I enjoy reading your blog and the story about Christine touched my heart. I am a photographer in Katy and would love to donate a newborn shoot/family shoot to them with a cd of the images if you think they would be interested in that. If you are on Facebook, you can see some of my recent work on my fan page: Little Yellow Lemon Tree Photography. Please feel free to reach me via email - monica@littleyellowlemontree.com if you have any questions. Thanks so much! In Him, Monica
Fabulous pictures, & what wonderful memories you will always cherish!
So sweet. It's so beautiful to have these eternal relationships, even when we can't be close now.
AHHH! I remember those darling outfits and dreaming about dressing my own baby boy one day! That Valentine's shirt was a favorite. Jackson was/is a beautiful boy...I guess I have to say 'handsome' now that he is four. FOUR. My word. How did that happen so fast?!!
Hi Amanda - I was just checking out your blog - your little ones are adorable! And I love your comment about making yourself wait till March to wear flip flops – I feel the exact same way! And I live in Minnesota, probably better to wait for May for the flips – but I just love them so much, I love the relaxed feeling I have when I wear them – like, this is a super stressful day, but it’s okay, because it’s nice enough that I’m wearing flip flops. ;-)
Anyway – the reason I’m writing to you, is because the advertising agency I am working at partners with Edwards Desserts, and we’re hoping to have a few bloggers like you (moms, blogging about different topics in life) discuss a promotion we have coming up later on this month. The promotion is centered around a contest called “The Edwards Goes To…”, which will take place on Facebook and encourage users to nominate the special moms in their life (their own mom, their friend who is a mom, etc.) to win a trip to a red carpet event and after-party for a Hollywood awards show. We’ll send you some coupons so you can try the desserts, as well as a few extras for you to give out to your readers if you’d like. Is this something you’d be interested in? If so please let me know (kathleenp@bolinmarketing.com) and I will send you more information, and please send me your mailing address so we can get the coupons out to you.
Thanks so much!
Kathleen
Oh... they do grow up SO fast, don't they? ;( ~sigh~
Soooooooooo sweeeeeet! Amanda, I'm a grandmamma but when I look at pictures of my own babies I'm instantly transported back to when I was young and they were young! Can't believe my youngest will turn THIRTY in just 3 days!!!
Thanks so much for sharing these pictures!

Oh my goodness this post is the sweetest. I l.o.v.e the photos of Jackson with your daddy. The joy in their faces is priceless. How old was Jackson? Aster is 15 months and just starting to take her first steps. These photos remind me to cherish each precious moment and take LOTS of photos!!!
Awww...you have me tearing up too! Those were such good times. I miss those days. It's been a great week with y'all!!
Just wanted to say I really enjoy your blog. I just happened on it before I had my new one created. Thanks for sharing!
Steph
Love the pics of your baby boy. Being a mom is full of bittersweet moments. Cheering our baby's new developments on, and tearing up while watching them grow so fast. I'm thinking we will be doing this for the rest of our lives.
Oh, these are just beautiful! Thanks for letting us be a tiny part of your precious family's life.
Hugs,
Fran
Your dad is wearing tennis shoes and not boots! I agree, going back and looking through older pictures is breathtaking at times to see where my boys have grown so much. I was cleaning the book cases and found a picture of when my 2nd one was born. My then 3 1/2 yr old was holding and kissing his new 1 day old baby brother, oh man, major tears over that one.
Awww. My son is on the verge of walking, so these beautiful pics make me realize that I better keep the camera close by!
Aww, love the pictures of Keith and Jackson!:) Soo cute! And you get to see Janelle and Ella:):) I understand about the wanting to eat your kiddles up! I luv my angel, dollface Baby Girl!:) Eat her up!

So sweet! It is fun and precious to look back on baby days, especially since they grow so fast. My friend and I were doing that just the other day while scrapbooking, since we are SOOO far behind and our kids are growing faster than we can scrap!
