Serve It Up

Here are Melissa and Colin serving ice cream at the rehearsal dinner. My Pappaw was their first customer. This is ironic because when we were young teenagers, Pappaw took Melissa to Dairy Queen one day. Melissa got her Blizzard and, thinking she was really cool, immediately flipped it upside down and then upright again. The person serving you is supposed to do that little trick for you, but apparently they neglected to that time. So when Pappaw got his Blizzard, he wanted to be as cool as Melissa. He flipped his upside down. However, he did it too slow and he ended up dumping the entire thing in his lap. Melissa had a very big laugh at his expense and that is why I think it's so funny that she had to serve him this ice cream. You might want to turn the volume down because both these videos have some horribly loud and annoying woman's voice on them.

How much fun was that! Did Melissa get better as the night went on?

And your voice is not horribly loud and annoying! But I know what you mean because I don't like to hear my voice recorded either.

Fun videos!

You are so southern! I love it. Best part: when you said "yes" and it came out "yessssssssssssssss."

You good little southern thing you.

Oh, I was so thrilled to see that you posted a video from some of the wedding festivities! I have really enjoyed reading your posts here and at the LPM blog about it! I feel a little crazy for having thought about it as much as I have, but I love you and your family so much even though I really don't know yall personally (but, isn't it funny how much you feel like you know someone just by reading their blog? Its almost kinda scary!).

Anyway, I just love hearing your voice on this video! Girl, I can totally relate to that southern drawl (is that spelt right? Thats how it sounds when I say it. Gosh, just the way I spell how I talk is making me feel really insecure:). I love it though! I wouldn't trade being born and raised here in "Sweet Home Alabama" for nothing! Dernit, now I have that song in my head!

Have a great weekend:-)

This is a really sweet idea! Thanks for sharing the video!
I LOVE Marble Slab! I may actually be obsessed with the fact that they make such fresh ice cream! (I won't eat the store kind. I buy it for my family but won't eat it.) I would say that is a huge perk to just one of the many great things about Colin!

Amanda,
I "accidentally" stumbled onto this site by looking at others' favorites. I'm blonde so it took me a few minutes to realize it was actually you. I am SO glad I did.
I love the video! You will cherish these memories forever.
I write comments all the time on the LPM blog, but I want to tell you here that you and your family have blessed me for several years. I first saw your mom in Stillwater, OK back in 2002 and got hooked. I've made an excuse to go to a conference somewhere each year since. And my daughter and I will be in San Antonio in Aug.!!! I can't wait.
I've "met" some of the neatest Christian ladies on this blog.
I lead two of Beth's studies twice a year at our church. My sister sends me mail addressed "Valerie Beth" because I'm always talking about something Beth said. :)
I'm SO happy the wedding went well!
Thanks again for sharing the Good News and for making this blog possible.
Love,
Valerie

I was surprised to hear the Texas in your voice! Duh, I know you live in Texas, but living elsewhere, I just didn't expect it!

Super cute. Not at all horrible or annoying.

But I know what you mean because I detest the sound of my voice in all our home videos. I always think, "I hope that isn't how I really sound!"

Amanda,
That is so sweet. What love you all have as a family! Congratulations to all of you. Trust me, as a much older woman, those are precious memories you will treasure always!

Awesome!!! Your voice is great, it's kind of nice to hear your voice (make a face/voice connection), I heard Melissa pray the first night Esther. . . :)

but i totally think you talk like leann rimes...like i have chills about it

and melissas dress rocks

Both of the videos are so fun! Fun moments and memories captured on camera. I love it.

That is so neat that they got to serve ice cream at their rehearsal dinner. And Marble Slab (or bubble slob as we use to call it) of all places. Yum.

I was just reading Sherry Clemens blog and saw the baby room pictures and noticed that you commented on her blog! Do you know her?! If you do, what a small world. She is a friend of mine, too. Chloe's room is SO adorable.

I love the video by the way. That is so sweet. And sweet cream and strawberries is my fave!!! I can't believe you passed up something so delish! :)
