Happy Thanksgiving Eve! It has been in the 80's and 90's all week and I confess I have been super grumpy about it. My attitude has seriously stunk. We joked about going swimming at the beach today and later I saw my neighbor's daughter wearing her swimsuit. We really should have done it. Anyway, I could use a focused day of counting my blessings! There are so many!
It will be wonderful to feast with our family tomorrow. I'm counting down the hours until I'm reunited with my mama's cornbread dressing and an array of casseroles. Praise the Lord.
Here are the winners of the book giveaway. First let me say how much I loved all of the comments. Erica was so blessed by them that she offered an extra book for the giveaway. Yay!
The winners of Those Silly Sisters: Swimming in the Rain are Liz and Sandy. If you ladies will leave me a comment with your contact info I will get in touch with you. Thank you to everyone who entered!
In case I don't get a chance to write tomorrow, I want you to know that I'm thankful for you. Have a very special day with your friends and family.
Love,
Amanda

When I read this, I thought you said you were having and 80's and 90's week. Like the decade. It makes much more sense now, although I could understand why that would make you grouchy :) Great blog you have; I really loved hearing about "The Precious"! God Bless you and yours.
i just found your blog (from my bff becky kiser's), and was going through reading some of your old posts, and the one you wrote the other day "we survived the day" just had me in stitches. my daughter elizabeth is 17 months old and goodness gracious, girl, i can relate! what in the WORLD is so HORRIBLE about a diaper change?! and the sweating! oh, the sweating! getting that girl in a clean diaper and a change of clothes and a bow in her hair- literally sometimes i'm just drenched and ready to cuss by the end of it! thanks for a good laugh! i worked in childcare up at the church for a few months this summer and fall. i was put in annabeth's class one sunday morning and she was an ANGEL. for the record, her diaper change was a piece of cake. which is just like elizabeth. one day i picked her up at MDO at church, and she'd needed a diaper change, so i just did it in her little mdo room. When her teachers saw her pitching a fit, they were like, she NEVER does that for us. great. what is it with these girls who already know how to push their mama's buttons? ;) anyway, besides all THAT, just wanted to say hi, and say that your blog absolutely cracks me up!
We spent the week in Galveston and my kids swam in the ocean TWICE. Crazytown.
Amanda, I received my book from Erica today!!! That was so fast! Thank you so much!
Hi Amanda,
I apologzie for the random question. You posted once about a pregnancy devotional. Is there a way you could send me the title? I am struggling to find your post -
Thanks!
