Hat Day

Annabeth is using a baby spoon to eat Goldfish crackers one by one out of their little bag. This is making me very hungry for a Frito pie. I hope that you have had the simple pleasure of eating a Frito pie with the chili and cheese poured right in the bag.

This craving is ironic because today I officially began a post-thirty-second-birthday-detox. Or P32BD. I threw off the french fry restraint for a few months and I'm going back to the land of a side of fruit. Fun times! Actually, fruit tastes pretty fantastic if you're not eating fried potatoes all the time.

I ordered Annabeth some new pajamas and they arrived today. She wanted to wear the gown she has on right away and firmly told me that she was not wearing the other two because they're "too big." She's wearing me out with all of her fashion opinions. However, I did get her to wear the biggest bow in our possession today. It's big even for southern standards.

Today was hat day at Jackson's school. Of course we didn't start looking for a hat for him to wear until it was time for him to walk out the front door. He ended up wearing his daddy's St. Louis Cardinals hat, which is fitting since they're in the World Series. Get excited. Jackson obviously is. (Look at Beckham coming in for a wet willy.)

I saw that bow on Facebook (well, I mean I saw Annabeth too, but the bow was what stood out) and thought, "Man, that's a big bow!!"

That bow is perfection, and I wish I had a picture of Gracie's bow head last night. It was purple and white and sheer and polka dots - totally dressed up the plain purple cardigan and jean jumper :)

Did you get a new camera? Your pictures are amazing! I am researching DSLRs right now so if you have suggestions or opinions, they'd be appreciated. AB's outfit is to die for, love it!!

Frito Pie was one of the most requested lunches in our school cafeteria....oh, the yummy goodness of Fritos smothered in chili, cheese, and more greasy goodness. 9 years later [yes, hanging on to the 9 even though 10 is just around the corner.....like May!] I can only imagine what Jillian Michaels & Dr. Oz would have to say about that!

Adorable! Good to know I'm not the only one who remembers things like "hat day" on the way out the door :)

I admire your restraint. I like fruit, but it gets so cold here in Idaho that I have a hard time eating cold things when it's cold outside! I'm really praying I can move somewhere warm someday so I can eat healthier! HA HA

And I love the picture of Annabeth with the hat on.

I have a yellow Lab who LOVES to give wet willies. What is it with the ears?

Your children are so adorable, including Beckham!

Here in Indiana, we call your Frito Pie a "Taco-in-a-Bag", very popular to sell at football and basketball games. Your children are beautiful! And yes, that is a BIG bow!!! I enjoy your blog...

That last picture of Annabeth is absolutely darling!!! She's totally killing me!!! I love her and just want to squeeze her and give her a big smooch that would scare her half too death. LOL!!! I have not had one of those frito things, but it sounds wonderful and like it would stick to my thighs for all eternity as most delicious things do!
