Noodles & Milk - A Giveaway!

*Comments now closed*

One of my oldest and dearest friends is celebrating the first birthday of her awesome Etsy shop, Noodles & Milk. She makes the most adorable things for babies and children.

Sabrina has always had a great eye for fashion. We were freshmen in high school when the movie "Clueless" came out and Sabrina was our resident Cher Horowitz/Alicia Silverstone. She was on top of every trend, which means her pictures will be extra hilarious when her kids look at her scrapbooks. After college, Sabrina had a successful career as a buyer for a major jewelry corporation and traveled all over the world. It was a dream job and she was great at it. Then her precious daughter Emerson was born and changed everything. I think Emerson was five minutes old when her mama started brainstorming and praying about how she could stay home with her. Sabrina left her job, they sold their beautiful new home, simplified, and believed God to provide for them.

A year later, Sabrina got her hands on a sewing machine and some fun fabrics and began creating adorable baby things. Noodles & Milk was born on a craft table in her daughter's playroom, if I remember correctly. Sabrina's creativity, work ethic, talent, and eye for all things adorable have made her Etsy shop take off. As another work-at-home mom, it gives me great joy to see what she's been able to do. Whenever I need to remind myself of God's faithfulness and ability to move mountains on our behalf, I think of Sabrina's story.

I'm thrilled and blessed to get to host a giveaway in honor of Noodles & Milk's first birthday!

Sabrina is giving away a $30 gift certificate to her shop.

She has many fun things to choose from. If it were me, I might pick a new cover for my Boppy pillow.

Or a personalized lounge set. (Sabrina actually made this for Annabeth and she has worn it a ton! I get comments on it every time she wears it.)

I love this twirly skirt.

These are so cute, I kind of wish I had another baby boy. Did I really just say that?

How fun is this fall outfit?

Meet Emerson. She's one of the most beautiful children I've ever seen. I love this outfit and am totally getting it next summer for Annabeth. Look at the roses on the shoulder.

Something sweet for a birthday girl.

Or birthday boy!

To enter this giveaway:

1. Visit the Noodles & Milk store and take a look around. (The contest is open to residents of the US and Canada only.)

2. Come back to this post and tell me what you love in the store. You'll make me smile if you also tell me who inspired your teenage fashion choices.

3. Make sure you provide an email address or blog link so I can contact you if you win.

4. You have until noon on Wednesday, September 9, to enter. I will announce the winner that night.

*Sabrina is offering 15% off any orders before shipping with the code "babybangs." The discount, which is good through September 30, will be refunded after checkout.

**If you're a fan of Noodles & Milk and you're handy with a camera, check out the photography contest on A Little Etsy Love. The prize is a $100 gift certificate!

***Ironically, my computer access is going to be limited over the holiday weekend. Please bear with me while I moderate comments. I will try to get to them at least once a day. Thanks so much!

LOVE the layer me ruffle skirts and the tea party swirl skirt!

I took a look the other day and really like the boppy covers. Of course, all her stuff is sooo cute.

The ruffle dresses! All of them! But then again I obsessed over little girls clothing, having two boys, I love to drool.

Fashion magazines inspired my dress as a teenager, and of course what everyone else was wearing. That's the only excuse I've got for midriff tops, everyone else was doing it.

I adore Noodles and Milk! I ordered the skirt that Emerson is wearing in that picture for my daugther's birthday, and I got soo many compliments on it! I didn't have a fashion icon as a teenager, but I do remember getting everything I wore from the GAP.

Any outfit with those double ruffle pants - Oh my!!!! They make my heart flutter - I am a gal for ruffles and I LOVE them on my little girl (my little boys too, but my husband doesn't really go for that):~)

WOW! I love everything!!! I could definitely use a new boppy cover...but I love the lounge sets and the initial t's/onesie's, too. I love anything monogrammed!
Thanks for the giveaway...OH- and I was such a "Clueless" fan--I wanted to BE Cher!!! "Daddy- these people lost everything...don't you want to help them?" "Honey, I don't think they need your skis!!!"

Amanda,
I LOVE the brown and yellow twirly skirt. Does she make that in big girl sizes?!! =)

Thanks so much for this contest.

Have a Blessed Wednesday,

So many cute things, but my favorite would have to be the "Day at the Park Ruffle Mini Dress!!" What a great giveaway!

I have been buying baby gifts galore lately...so I would totally purchase the personalized burp cloth and bib...and I love that we can pick our choice of fabric! :-)

Oh my! Too cute :) I love the Tea Party Love outfit!!! Thanks for the entry.

What a great inspiration to follow our creative streak/gifting...which I don't really have! I'd love an outfit for my little girl! The fall outfit with polka dots on your blog is my favorite in her whole store! Thanks!

Heather said...

I would love to get a toddler T-shirt or 2!

Who inspired my teenage fashion? Probably the gang from 90210!

Thanks for the chance to win! :-)

It makes me feel guilty that I have a nice sewing machine and I can't sew! What was my mom thinking?!?!
Anyway, The ruffle neck dress is so cute and I love it that it can be worn in winter over a long sleeve top and leggings...and we're moving back into winter climates. Teenage fashion inspiration? I used to have a subscription to Seventeen when I was a teen, but I probably took my cue from my peers. I can't even tell you how hard I try to make my children's portraits ones with classic clothing choices! :)

Well, there's just no way to choose. My youngest wears 4T which is what most of the clothes go up to. Perfect! I'd have to pick the long twirly skirt (in red and pink) with personalized tank. With an N for Nina. Thanks, Amanda!!

I love her designs! I am 16 weeks along in my pregnancy and I don't know if we are having a boy or a girl yet so I picked two things I like!

The Most Adorable Ruffle Dress - ADORABLE!

The Baby One-piece Bodysuit - So cute!!

My email is jessica.villalpando@gmail.com.

Kimberly said...

Seriously, how cute is this stuff? I'd have to get a blanket for my brand new niece (I'll probably be getting one either way)! And for my almost two-year-old, one of those precious fall outfits for her birthday. But is is hard to decide which one, I might "need" two.

High school fashion? Oh, I imagine if I'd had the budget it would have been over the top but because I bought most of my clothes, I got a job at the gap and wore everything they ever put on a mannequin. So what would you call that? Lame:)

Thanks for the giveaway!! Happy Birthday, Noodles and Milk!

Unknown said...

It's all so cute! But I LOVE the "Ruffle Me Layer Dress"--- so cute!!!
I have to laugh about the Clueless part of your post... too funny. I still to this day think about taking my picture in an outfit before wearing it to see what it really looks like, like Cher did! Ha...

Hi Amanda, I just love NoodlesandMilk. I love the One Year Old Outift! My daughter Carolina turns 1 this month and she NEEDS a new outfit for it!

My fashion icon was Madonna, the 80's Madonna! Oh I only wished I could have her hair and belts! I am dreaming still about it now! Let it go Kim, Let it go! :)

Your friend is very gifted! I would love to see my Landry in the "Layer Me Ruffle Dress and Ruffle Pants"!

I grew up in a small Texas town and you could pretty much get away with wearing anything. I drew the line at basketball knee socks with Cole Haan's.

I love, love, love the custom tea party skirt in aqua and navy! I'm having a little girl in about 4 weeks, so I'm excited to find these cute girly clothes!

How fun, a giveaway! I love the 'playtime tunic and bloomers', and the '1' b-day outfits. It is all so cute - it is hard to choose a favorite. :)
Hmmm, teenage fasion inspiration? I was heavily influenced by the 'coservative homeschool denim jumper culture' of the 90s... even sewed some of my own cotton jumpers. I cringe at the pictures now! :) Thankfully, fashion changes, and I don't own a single jumper now!

Heather said...

I LOVE it ALL!! No joke! I love the fabrics and combinations of fabrics. I so wish she'd been around when I was having babies. My "baby" just turned 4. *sigh*
Alas, I have a sweet neice who just turned 1. So, I guess I'll spoil her! I'd choose the Birthday Outfit, for girls, exactly how it is, except with an initial instead of the 1. I love the fabrics on it. Too cute.
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway! I wish her much sucess in the years to come!

Good Morning! First let me say it is all your fault that I am now spending my time at night working on a Bucilla Christmas Stocking. I had never heard of them till your post and then I saw Santa Fireman and well, my hubby is a fireman and the rest is history..

I am beyond having a baby but I absolutely love the personalized lovies. I have a miniature Dachshund named Sophie and she has serious attachment issues to baby blankets. She always wants to be covered up if she is ready to nap so if I won I would get my sweet little Sophie a new lovie. I bet your Jackson would get a kick out of seeing Sophie all cuddled up with a baby blanket!

Thanks for an awesome blog, I read it every morning!

I'm due with a little boy on Oct.6, and since my firstborn was a girl, we are enjoying lots of blue this go-around! I like the Boppy covers and the Diaper/Wipe case. What fun to pick out the fabric of your choice! I had a diaper/wipe case for my daughter and used it all the time. Not sure my son would appreciate me carrying in a hot pink and brown case...haha. Thanks for the link to this site. It is super cute!

Liz said...

Oh, it's so hard to choose just one. I just found out I am having a girl after having 2 precious boys, so I am all about girlie stuff. I do LOVE the personalized lovie/blanket. AND the personalized boppy covers are awesome too. It's just so hard to choose. :)

Clueless was me and my best friend's FAVORITE movie...we watched it so many times we could quote it! :)

Okay, I showing my age here, but my *high fashion sense* was inspired by the material girl Madonna during the eighties! My junior high BFF and I would wear the mid-calf leggings, tank tops with a lacy over shirt and LOTS of jingly jewelry from Claire's. Way too cool!

So, my fave from the site is the Poolside Princess Party Dress - because, hey - don't all princesses long to be poolside instead of browsing online at work?

There were so many cute things for my girly OR two boys!

As for my fashion choices in my teen years, I'm not sure I'd want to blame anyone for that inspiration but if I had a sponsor for those years, it would certainly be Aqua Net.

Oh my!!!!

You know, I've always said I probably won't have another child, but honest to goodness, every time I see little girl clothes it just makes me want to have one so bad!!!

I've got a bunch of girlfriends who are either pregnant or have small babes, so this gift certificate would definitely go to good use! I might even splurge and get my son the minky pillow (supposed to be for a nursery but he loooves "touch me feel me" fabrics and he would be in heaven with one of those).

Also, who was my fashion icon? Denise Huxtable, hands down!! I used to raid my dad's closet and wear his polos, dress shirts, even ties with some funky hammer pants and crazy eye make-up. Loved her!!

I stumbled on your blog while on bedrest and I LOVE IT! I am due with a sweet baby boy in December but he may be coming any day now. I LOVE the minky dot boppy covers in her store! I can't find any in stores that I love nearly as much as these and I love, love, love monogramming, even for boys!

I am sorry to say that when I was a teenager my style was so beyond awful, I'm embarrassed to even talk about it. In middle school I watched Clueless and loved their short skirts with tall socks. So for a dance I found a vintage LIME GREEN go-go style dress and had my mom alter it to fit me. Then I found these WHITE knee high go go boots to go with it. I would do ANYTHING for a picture of how ridiculous I looked! I can remember doing that dance "the train" with everybody and all the teachers telling me I looked like I came from the 70s; Gee thanks. Missed the mark, again. I have a million bad dresser stories like this! :)

Sallie Belle said...

I love the ruffled polka dot outfit. My youngest wore things like this all the time. Makes me miss those days, but my dear friend is expecting her first. I am excited to know we get to dress her daughter now! Great site. Thanks for telling us.

I must say the movies and shows of the 80's. I must admit though as my teenage daughters shop now I wish I hadn't thrown it all out. It might help in the days of tight budgeting.

I like the diaper and wipes cases. As soon as the baby is old enough I ditch that diaper bag and shove wipes and diapers in my purse. So much easier. Putting them in a fancy case would be so much more stylish.

As a teen I watched "My So-Called Life." Did you ever see that? We definitely stole her style -flannel shirts and cords. Converse tennis shoes. Hair parted in the middle. (What were we thinking?) Clueless was right up there, too, though it would never fly in our dinky Michigan high school. Too Cali.

Love your blog. You are super funny.

I love the Day at the Park Ruffle Mini Dress in Sorbet Paisley! Cutest clothes! I was just blessed with a baby niece so I'm all about some girl clothes now. Thanks for sharing.

And two of my fashion icons were Dawn and Stacey from The Baby-Sitter's Club movie. Cool I know!

Can I still be entered if I tell you that I love everything on there?! I just had a little boy so I'm kind of fond of the onesie with the tie on it... but I can see my little girl looking adorable in just about everything, too.

I was TOTALLY inspired by the Clueless movie. :) I mean, that was some 90's greatness!

What don't I love in her store? It is all just precious! I think I may have to take advantage of her babybangs special. My absolute favorite is the custom tea party twirly skirt. Audrey would look so cute in it at her 2 year birthday party.
My teenage fashion was probably inspired by my best friend, Shelby. She always kept me in the know of what was cool and what was not. I was too busy being nerdy and studying to keep up with that stuff.

I love the tie onesie and personalized burp rags! But everything is super cute and creative.

I spent the first half of the 90s raiding my older brother's closet for rugby shirts and Levi's 501s. Fortunately for my parents, my dress-like-a-boy attempt to be preppy translated into modesty most of the time. : )

The bibs and burp rags are too sweet. Ah. I love monogramming! I was unfortunately quite unfashionable growing up. I tried to dress like Clarissa from Clarissa Explains It All for a season. Let's be thankful that did not last long! Ha! The photography link does not seem to be going to the right place...or I am looking in the wrong place. I'll keep trying!

I could never choose, but I suppose a $30 gift certificate would help. I think I would probably choose a the boppy cover because I am reallllllly wanting one for the new baby I have coming in November, but I am trying to watch the practicality of my purchases since this is baby #1. I could TOTALLY justify a personalized boppy cover if it was purchased with a gift certificate! :)

I love the Tea Party Playset and the Nursery pillows! So precious!

I was trying to think of where I got my inspirations from in high school (92-95) and just can't remember how I knew what was cool. MTV maybe? Channel One at school during homeroom? Yikes. All I remember is that stirrup pants and long sweaters were "cool" and then there was big plaid shirts. Yuck. Sorry...I wanted to give you a good laugh, but alas, I've got nothing. lol.

Is "I love everything!" a good enough answer?

I wish my daughter were small enough to wear the adorable little girl options, but she's moved out of Toddler sizes. So, with 3 friends having boys soon (and a boy of my own), I think I'd go with the Baby Boy gift set in Navy and blue wide stripe.

The Custom Personalized Lounge Ruffle Set is adorable. My 2-year-old "Claire" would look fantastic in that outfit. She loves to pick out her own clothes and accessorize with matching hair bows, necklaces, bracelets, and shoes. I can just imagine here admiring herself in a new outfit from Noodles and Milk. They have the perfect outfits to accessorize.

When I was a teenager, BIG bangs, rolled jeans, neon shirts, and 2 or 3 pairs of scrunched socks were the thing. Don't ask me where the "style" came from. Today I'm ashamed to even admit it was a "style" I wore. :-)

The diaper and wipe holder is so cute I think I need to try to have another child. Man I want her to take my measurements so she can make me some of those ruffle pants!!

Girl when I was younger (we are the same age...;) I was totally in to some guess jeans. The problem though is I never got new clothes. I can remember going to great lengths to try to get me even a fake pair. I want to take my chic jeans from walmart and sew a guess label on them so bad. Then, MC Hammer...yes what an inspiration. I needed stone washed jeans so bad that shamefully I took my chic jeans from K-mart, rubber banded them and soaked them in clorox. Let us not forget body suits! WHEW what on earth was I thinking. I even got the home cut so I was a total dork.

Okay, so I was trying to think of who inspired my fashion choices when I was growing up and it was hands down my big sister! I just thought anything she wore was the "coolest" and had to get on board with her fashion trends. But-your question also had me thinking about a type of clothing that I loved to wear in the 80's- they were called "Multiples". None of my friends can remember wearing them but my sister and I do! Mix and match flourescent colors :) I just googled it and they do exist!!
