Besides a baby, what pregnant women get in return for surrendering their waistlines is nine months of thick, glorious hair. It’s a beautiful thing. However, when Baby is just a few months old (about the time Mommy is seeing hints of her returning waistline) it all falls out. Soon her face is framed by the re-growth—lovely inch-long hairs called baby bangs. This blog is named for that charming little phenomenon.

she is beautiful, amanda, and i am so happy that everything went so smoothly with her delivery. i've been praying for you & annabeth nursing too. laney & i are still figuring it out, i know it's so tough at first just to get her to wake up long enough to eat. and with all the nurses breathing down your neck, well it's stressful, at least it was for me. i will be praying God will make her a hungry girl today! i can't wait to see her in person! love ya!

Aren't you glad you bought a couple of preemie size outfits, Amanda? A 6 pounder can wear those nicely for several weeks. (My granddaughter weighed 6-4 and the preemie size fit her nicely for about 6 weeks.)

I just cried for you when I saw that little foot with toes spread. Something about touching that toe for the first time ever...ooohhh! What a beautiful miracle from God picked by HIM for you both! Congratulations! Deut 6:6 - you'll pass on your beautiful heart for HIM!
What a blessed event! Seeing your pictures here initiated several flashbacks of when my own children were born. They are 28 and 25 now, and I so miss the days when they were little ones. I think that's one of the reasons God gives us grandchildren...to fill the void of our children growing up. I think your mom could probably identify with that. ;)
