Last night you wore jeans for the first time in your life. If you are anything like your mother, it was the beginning of a life-long love of denim. What kind of mother would I be if I didn't document this moment? I've been waiting in anxious expectation for these jeans to fit you. They're a little long, as are all of your pants, but it's okay for now. When you're older you can wear heels to compensate for the extra length. For now we'll just roll 'em right up.

Again, having only boys I have no concept of the bow. However, I am going to bet it was as proud a moment as when our boys got their first John Deere boots, wranglers & camo tee's. She is too cute!

My "baby" is now 5.5 years old. She benefitted GREATLY from all the time I spent dressing her up an accessorizing.
My Kylee won't leave the house without brushing her hair. She loves bracelets, earrings, and matching shoes.
I won't confirm it but I'm fairly sure she's even said things like, "Mama, I'd like to straighten my hair today"
And, tip of the iceburg... the other day I took her annual photos in my wedding dress at the local park and she said, "Mama, I am just so comfortable in this dress!"
That's my girl. And with time, that will be dear sweet Annabeth as well :)

I remember the picture of that cute sweater when you first got it. It looks 500x better on that cute baby! I have a photo of my oldest in her first pair of jeans and I am wearing my favorite pair that I had just gotten back into- BLISS. What a sad day when I had to throw that pair away...

She is so stinkin' cute!! I remember both of my girls first pairs of jeans. I remember my mom being upset that they didn't have dresses on. HA! But...to this day, jeans or dresses, they WILL have bows in their hair. They are now 5 and 3.

as for new orleans style snow cones... my family's stands in abilene order all their syrups and supplies from new orleans where my dad was born and where they fell in love with real snow cones. they are traditionally called "snowballs" but in the beginning of opening the stands we decided to just call them snow cones in case people wouldn't understand what snowballs were. new orleans style ice is finely shaved (more like snow, less like ice), the syrups are full of flavor and every flavor can have snow cream (pure milky goodness) added to it for an extra treat. how's that for a commercial?! i am dying to find a good snow cone stand here in houston! so far i've only found one out in katy.
Hi Amanda, I discovered your blog through Big Mama. I read through several posts, and came across one in which you said your due date with Annabeth was in February. My husband and I are expecting our first Feb. 4th, and we both have a gut inkling it's a girl (although we totally don't mind being wrong), so seeing your little girl in her blue jeans and outfits just kills me! She's too cute!

Those jeans are just too adorable! And those precious little shoes, at first they looked like little girl toms, but i like the ones she's wearing even more. So sweet.
