Dumbest Thing I've Ever Heard

Is this a joke?

*Okay, so apparently it is a joke. Sorry, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, especially right now!

That's ridiculous!

That is the dumbest thing ever!
Can you imagine? But, I totally get their point and maybe it will take something this ludicrous for the government to realize it is not their job to bailout everyone!!

it has to be. i so hope that congress never justifies this with a response.

God help us all if this passes!

I think I am speechless! For real? Good grief!

I agree Amanda - this has got to be either a joke or the dumbest idea on record.... Unbelievable!

It is crazy! At the same time all the bailouts seem crazy to me.

I know on one hand it is helping people but not real people.

Oh, MY, WORD!

OMG, I think that this story allows me to use that expression, because only the Lord God himself can judge righteously!
I have been praying so much about our economy and the hearts of the people being revealed through it all. Unfortunately our nation has walked far away from our King. May we all humble ourselves and pray!!

"People are too depressed to be sexually active"??? What in the world? My husband would certainly think THAT was a joke! Isn't it supposed to be a great way to combat depression?

But seriously, it's sick and it's sad!

Heather said...

I SURE hope so!

Thank goodness after reading through the other comments I realized that it is indeed a joke, but that we all had to think twice about it is a kind of scary indicator of what our country is like!

What in the...WHAT?!?!

I can't think of anything else to say.

Angela said...

Wow!
Maybe God can turn this Nation around with this and let them go bust.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Thought of you today because my baby bangs have made their lovely appearance! Hope to see you soon

That is very interesting because recently in our city there were some people riled up about Larry Flynt wanting to buy the Independence Bowl! Can you believe? I am hardly shocked by much these days.

But...
I...
That's not...
Wow.
I don't even know how to process that.
That's a new low - even for politics.

Whew. Okay, so now I'm feeling the teensiest bit better about things.

When I first read the article while checking the news earlier this afternoon, I thought "what a joke."

I get the point they're trying to make, but I hate that particular industry will now get even more focus from this story. It's hard for me to imagine another US industry that has ruined as many lives as this one has.

I thought you might be talking about food and it's carbon footprint. I heard that on the news this weekend and all the carbon-friendly food restaurants popping up and was totally thinking, "Really?? Now how dumb is that?"

I haven't blogged about it, b/c I want to read more on it first.

You know what's really sad...that doesn't even suprise me all that much!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog....we would DEFINITELY be great friends in real life. I can't tell you how many times I read yours (esp. the Jackson tales) and think "That just happened here!!!" :)
I am praying for you in this "final stretch" until Baby Girl!!!

I saw that yesterday... and now I believe that I have absolutely seen everything! My word!

I'm flabbergasted! Maybe their point is we're going overboard with the bail-outs. But give me a break!

More than funny, this is sad!!! What a state our country is in now. We must stand up for what we believe and that is that the government is not meant to take care of everyone. We strive to be equal in "opportunity" but not in other areas. I cry daily for my country and the freedoms that it should afford everyone.

Sadly, I think they are probably the only industry that doesn't need bailing out. As a matter of fact, they could probably bail other industries out, if they so desired :-(.

Vonda said...

I actually applied for my bail out a couple of months ago...still waiting on that response.

I love your last post! VPG is my favorite...I can't wait to see VVPG.

Love you!

This has nothing to do with your post I just wanted to send a note and figured the newest post was easiest. When I first started doing your mom's studies 4 years ago I had just had my first child.. a son we named Jackson. When your mom started talking about you & Jackson I really enjoyed hearing stories that mirrored my own. I stumbled on the LPM blog that said you were having a girl and thought what another fun coincidence.. I had a baby girl a year ago. Her name is Jessalyn Hope and it is the greatest blessing to watch these two kids interact with each other. I hope you will have half the hilarious stories to share that I have gotten to share on my blog about the conversations my son has with her. You and your mom and sister are such a gift to women every where who love God and really needed to learn the skills of Bible study. Thank you for EVERYTHING!! I will be anxious to hear what you name your sweet girl!! Maybe you will have her on my birthday Jan. 15th! Take care and God bless and protect you all! ~Shannon
