Poll

Hey everyone! Would you mind taking a look at the little poll I added on my left sidebar? If you could answer that quick question for me, it would help me so much. The results will help me plan how I will blog from Guatemala next week. I appreciate your help!

I am not sure what LPM stands for, actually.

I feel like I need to say... Yes, I do occasionally read the LPM blog but not very often. However, I have your blog on my reader and read every post. Can't wait to "experience" your trip with you!

(Just to whisper -- I am praying for you tonight, Amanda.... I am feeling the wave hitting me too in this part of the world and I almost feel swept away with the fears. But when I pass through the waters, He goes with me! So I'm with you -- clinging hard to Jesus! We'll hold on and know nothing comes into our life except filtered through His fingers of love....)

I send all mine, Amanda...
All's grace,
Ann

Ditto to what The Oakes said, although if it is easier to post to the LPM blog, I'll just check there more often.

I just prayed for you to be filled with his peace as you make last minute plans. He has you and your kids covered. (Psalm 91) May the Lord use your team in a mighty way and may you hear HIM speak to your heart in a special way!

I read both and they're both wonderful! I feel like we're walking in the same shoes. I have a 22 month old girl and a 4 year old boy. Every time you post photos, I see the same toys, the same Halloween costume (the ON tiger!) and the same expressions. Your tales of life so closely relate to mine that it's nice to know there's a fellow sister out there right where I am too! Keep it up and blessings on your journey to Guatemala!

I feel pressed to add to Ann's words, Amanda, that I am also praying for you in a deep, almost sacred way. I didn't want to cheapen it by saying it ("Hey, look at me! I'm praying for you!"), but if it encourages you to know God has raised up an army of women warriors to stand guard around your heart as you go, then I'll say it.

May He take your fears captive and let you shine this next week, for the children who need your words (and your hugs) to bring them Jesus.

Amanda- I just stumbled upon your blog for the first time and was brought to tears as I read about Molly. I moved into Molly Long's house in Tyler at age 5. We quickly became best friends for elementary school years. I too vividly remember learning of her death- I was in Costa Rica on a mission trip and many of us had been close to Molly in our childhoods. We were devastated And also unable to return in time for her service. I clicked on your link about her and so enjoyed reading. Thank you for sharing your heart. I think of her often- my funny friend with the red glasses.
Will be praying for your Guatemala trip. I lived there awhile in college and have a great love for the people, culture, & country.
Look forward to reading about your trip!
Katie

just saw your link and read on Kelly's blog where you are coming to Guatemala. How exciting. My husband and I have been serving here since 2006. What area will you be working in? Maybe our paths will cross??? Hope you enjoy your visit and have a wonderful time. We love Guatemala and I am sure you will as well! Blessings!

I think there are a lot of people at the LPM blog that don't know about this blog...and the other way around...hard choice, but there are probably more readers at the LPM blog...I will read either way!
