A Good Word

I read this in my quiet time this morning. What stuck out to me was that the owner of the threshing floor just wanted to give it to King David and not accept his payment. However,

"...The king replied to Araunah, 'No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.'"

Wow, next time I have a crazy day before Bible study I will remember that my offerings should cost me something.

I love that passage. The Lord seems to smack me with it everytime I start whining about how hard (or incovenient) something is. He is so worthy of my going out of my way for Him. If serving Him doesn't cost me something is it really an offering?

Thanks for the reminder, Amanda!

Yes...ours have been costly, but very sweet lately.

Can I say, thank you for sharing your skills? I think the video is stinkin' hilarious! You certainly have some David genes (the crazy part, the praising part and the girl after God's heart part).
Love ya!
