Jackson's List

Jackson just told me "I love candy, Mommy." This was after getting a peppermint crunch junior mint for going on the potty and then me sharing a very small bite of a butterscotch haystack with him. This was one of the first times he's ever told me he loves something. I should be embarrassed that he said this to me at 9:30 in the morning, but it's Thanksgiving so I will pardon myself.

This morning I made him come sit with me at the table where I do my quiet time so we could talk about Thanksgiving. (I won't lie - he totally didn't want to.) I asked him what he wants to give thanks to God for and here is his list.

Jackson is thankful for:
cars! (x5)
cheese!
cereal
peas
trees
and grapes

And also, apparently, candy.

Right now we're watching the Thanksgiving Parade on TV and waiting for 3:00 to roll around so we can get to feasting with our family!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving, Amanda!

The "thankful for cheese" made me laugh. But he's right, cause cheese is something to be thankful for!

Well - if you are going to have something be your first love (besides your parents and Jesus) - Candy is a great place to start!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Eat up while you are big and have an excuse. Dieting is for next year! :-)

P.S. I'm not saying you are big - I'm just saying as a 29+ week pregnant girl - we are entitled to eat what we want!

This is so sweet and all, girl, but I have to tell you that all I can think about are the Peppermint Crunch Junior Mints! I can't find them here in Nashville!! I may have to send you some money and have you ship me a box or two or seven!! :)

Happy Thanksgiving! Tell your Mom and Dad the same from a Siesta!!

I'm still laughing over the previous post on the playground! I am so thankful for you Miss Amanda, you are on my top 10 blogs to read. You are the rare breed of blogger that doesn't try to make it sound perfect and pretty all the time. As C.S Lewis said, "We read to know we're not alone." Your blog makes this Momma feel much less alone in the struggles! Thank you for always glorifying God, sharing the challenges, and keeping at it hormones and all! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Happy Thanksgiving! (I'm not so sure about being thankful for peas. Although as long as someone else eats them, I guess I can be grateful for that!)

Sounds like a great list to me. My 3 year old's list was candy, snacks, my blankey, cake and chocolate.

What do you do? :)
