Happy Thanksgiving!

Jesus. My family. My friends. My church. My job. My husband's job. A sense of purpose. My home. Even my dog. PG Tips. Dr. Pepper. KSBJ. Brooke Fraser. People who pray for my family. Health insurance. Freedom. Memory. The Holy Spirit living in me. Hope. Justice. The patience of God...and my husband. These are some things I'm thankful for.

This has not been an easy year. If Annabeth hadn't been born this year, I'd just as soon forget about 2009. But God has been so kind to us. I could spend every second of tomorrow thanking God for different things and never run out of things to say.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to bake a pumpkin crunch cake and head over to my mom's to help get lunch ready. At one o'clock we will sit elbow to elbow with our beloveds and the feast will begin. I'm really looking forward to some cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, and broccoli rice casserole. Did you hear my stomach? It just growled - no joke.

The highlight of my day will be getting to see my aunt and two cousins whom I haven't seen in almost two years. I'm so excited.

God is good. I love Him a lot.

Amanda, I hope you and your family have a GREAT Thanksgiving!

Just wanted you to know that I am sooo thankful to have gotten to know more of you through the blog world.
Yet we're at two different seasons in life.. Me, I am 25 and single with no kids. But there's one thing that binds us, the love of Christ. I have loved getting to know you not only as Beth's daughter, but as a person who is just trying to walk this life with Christ just like the rest of us, and having to rely on him.. me maybe not in the area of being a wife or mother, but in other areas where we have to seek him!

So before this turns into a nov el, I'll say thank you and I love ya.. You don't know me, but I love ya! ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love your pictures of Jackson!! I especially like the one of him praying with his little eyes shut so hard. He is precious!

I pray your Thanksgiving is full of laughter (I am sure there will be some great stories from this Moore gathering), great food and the sweet presence of the Lord! So very thankful for you and LPM.

Happy Thanksgiving to y'all! Jackson is so funny in that picture, trying to keep his eyes closed? Ha.

No turkey for me today, but I will drink a cuppa in your honor, PG Tips of course.

Have a wonderful day Amanda!! I'd throw 2009 in the trash with you, but then I stop and realize that I have so much to be thankful for. He provided for us HUGE and I've never walked closer with Him through all the difficulty.

Praying for your family and so thankful for all you do!

I am a faithful reader of your blog and so hearing that this was not a good year for you came as a surprise. I realize you don't tell us EVERYTHING, so I pray that the trials and hardships of 2009, are not only over, but served in showing you the sufficiency of Christ.

Blessings to you and your family, Amanda.

It must be a Texas thing. My Texas family eats that exact SAME thing each Thanksgiving and Christmas along with some other yummies! :) I LOVE broccoli and rice casserole. Should have made it for my husbands family this year.

Jackson is simply adorable! I know he makes you laugh often. Too cute!

I thought about you the whole time during the A&M football game last night and was cheering for them.
Being from Oklahoma I'm not a huge Texas fan. :) They played great! They should be proud!

Amanda, your family is such a blessing to me. I'm a preacher's kid and have been in church all my life. My dad is a wonderful teacher of the Word. His initials also just happen to be "B.M." :)
Several years ago I was given tickets to attend a LPM event in Stillwater, OK and to think that I almost didn't go because I was a little selfish about giving up a weekend makes me cringe. After I heard your mom there I began to do her Bible studies. Her teaching has meant so much to me.
I always loved God & knew He loved me, but I didn't ever have the relationship I now have with Him. She taught me to ask Him to delight me and to tell Him every single thing going on in my life. The Word has truly come alive. I now pray God's Word like I never did before. I know what it is like to be in the public eye, as my dad has always been a pastor and I know you all sacrifice a lot and I am thankful.

I'm praying for 2010 to be great year for you and your family.
I will see you in Houston in Jan.!!! & I'll see your mom in OKC next weekend! Yay!!!
