Hillsong United

Curtis and I went to see our favorite worship band last night. These are some things we might have tweeted (and a couple that I did) if we hadn't been so busy singing with our hands in the air.

(I know this is a dumb post but I've been blogging for nearly 5 years and IT'S ALL BEEN DONE.)

(You can find us on Twitter as @AmandaMoJo and @JonesCurtis. FYI, MoJo is for Moore Jones, not like Austin Powers mojo. That's what happens when you have two of the most common last names in America.)

@AmandaMoJo So excited to worship Jesus with @JonesCurtis and @HillsongUnited tonight!

@JonesCurtis However Joel Houston's hair looks is how I'm gonna grow mine out.

@AmandaMoJo @JonesCurtis What if he bics it?

@AmandaMoJo Joel Houston kinda looks like a Spirit-filled Kurt Cobain. Or maybe Eddie Vedder. #childofthe90s

@AmandaMoJo There's a dude on stage that looks like Weird Al. I bet only 10% of the people in this building know who that is.

@AmandaMoJo I wonder if that crazy-dancing guy has ever knocked one of his bandmates down.

@JonesCurtis Yeah, he actually broke a guy's leg.

@AmandaMoJo Really diverse crowd. I love this city.

@AmandaMoJo The girl in front of me is recording this whole thing. A voice that only God could love (mine) is gonna ruin her YouTube videos.

@AmandaMoJo So glad we learned the Aftermath songs in two weeks.

@AmandaMoJo Had to take my necklace off b/c the bulbousness of the beads was keeping me from putting my hand on my heart. Apparently I do that a lot.

@AmandaMoJo I love that the God we worshipped tonight is the Ancient of Days, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God who led Israel out of Egypt.

@AmandaMoJo I imagine the end of "With Everything" will be playing at the Second Coming when Jesus comes riding in on a white horse. #FaithfulandTrue

@AmandaMoJo I'll stand with arms high and heart abandoned..." What a great night of worship. http://yfrog.com/gyjfdqxj

This post made me smile! Some of my random thoughts because I know you care. :)

Weird Al - I thought the exact same thing!

I never knew singing "oh" in different notes and for so long could be so wonderful and praise worthy.

How wonderful! I love them and bought their new CD when it came out a couple of weeks ago, too. And I was sooo blessed to be at the Chris Tomlin concert in Springfield, IL last night so I can relate to having such an awesome, wonderful evening in worship as well. Glad you guys were able to have that blessing!

How wonderful! You gave me chills! They must be here in Dallas tonight? Some of my local friends have posted about it on FB. I listened to some Hillsong on youtube, and now I'm all peaceful and ready for bed, excited to go worship in church in the morning. :0)

I wish that I would have known that you liked them so much. They led the worship at all of our church services last weekend.

It took me a while to figure out that "MoJo" stood for your name and not because you were a funky gal :)

Sounds like a great night!

I actually really liked this post; such a fun way to re-cap what I'm sure was a powerful night of worship! Good times!

Can't wait, we're going to see them in Birmingham on Tuesday night for our 34th wedding anniversary!

Love Hillsong United! They are coming to Birmingham this week and I was not on the ball and didn't get tickets. Sad. I got chills at your comment about the end of "With Everything." I had the same thought...beautiful.

I just read through a lot of your posts and I enjoy your honesty, especially with motherhood stuff. I have 4 children under the age of 7, so I get it! :) I didn't come to a rodeo event at my son's preschool either this year, and he asked me the same thing - why weren't you here? All the other moms were. Oh, it's the worst!

Okay, you had me laughing out loud, Amanda, with this right off the top: "I know this is a dumb post but I've been blogging for nearly 5 years and IT'S ALL BEEN DONE."

HA! :) Oh, I just love you, girl!

I love what you do here... a post that made me laugh... and stirred my heart to worship our God, the same God as of Abraham, Isaac and the Ancient of Days.

Thanks for the smile... and moving me to my knees.

Much love to you, friend...
Ann
