Noodles and Milk

Hi peeps. One of my BFF's, Sabrina, has an awesome Etsy shop called Noodles and Milk. She recently made a little outfit and a lovie for Annabeth and I was blown away by not only the cuteness, but also the quality of it all. I sat there holding it, going "Sabrina made this?" I'm so proud of my friend! She believed God to provide for her to stay home with her daughter when she was born and He's been doing that through her Etsy shop. Our friend Bethany (we all went to high school together) is hosting a Noodles and Milk giveaway right now. Hop over and see. The first picture listed is something she made for Annabeth. Bethany has a super cute Etsy shop called Love September. Right now she has a onesie that says "Blog This." So fun.

Okay, I realized that I can't wait for Curtis to get home every day and then I spend a lot of the evening messing around on the computer instead of enjoying him. So this week I'm going to turn off my computer when he gets home and hopefully keep it off. I might even go to bed before midnight. Shocker! By the way, Annabeth Ellen Jones, one day shy of 8 weeks old, slept 8 hours straight last night. Woo hoo!

You failed to tell me in the two times we have already talked today that my darling namesake slept EIGHT HOURS LAST NIGHT!!! WOW! Our God is in the heavens and He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased! And it pleased Him to let baby girl sleep through the night! YAHOO-JAH! I'm so happy. For both of you. I asked your man today at work how she'd done last night and he looked at me and said, "You know, I don't even know!" I thought that was a mighty good indication she'd done well.

Praise God for that brain power that returns with some sleep!

I agree with you for guarding your family time. It is this family life that really, really matters a hill o' beans (to borrow a phrase). :0)

What a small world, I just got a monogrammed onesie from Noodles and Milk, the proceeds benefited "Cora's Playground", not sure if you have heard of that blog. (http://themcclenahans.blogspot.com)
I agree, she does fabulous work and her daughter has the same name as mine!! :)

Whoo-hoo! 8 hours straight! Doesn't that seem like the greatest thing in the world! But how many times did you wake up and go check on her? I can remember that like it was...oh, it was almost 35 years ago!!

I'm going to check out the new Etsy sites. sounds so cute!

Enjoy your evenings with your man, it's a priceless time for you both!

I found Noodles & Milk while hunting for the perfect tutu for my daughter's first birthday. It is now the place I buy EVERY baby shower gift. I love it!
And I think I'll follow in your footsteps of turning off the computer when my man gets home. I should have thought of that myself. Good idea:)

oh I'm so jealous - she slept 8 hours!? I feel like a dead man walking because my little one is 6 months old and still only sleeps 3-4 hours at a time!!!

and on that note...time to turn off MY computer and go bless that husband who was good enough to skip going out to work at the woodshop tonight, and stayed around to take me to dinner (ALONE!) instead. YAY for 8 hours of sleep! My monkeys are 3 and 6, and I rarely get 8 hours of sleep anymore. :)

Oh! I love the colors in it! And a fist pump to you for closing down the comp. at night :)

You enjoy the computer-less nights! I've had to turn mine off a lot recently too. It feels good to go to bed before midnight! Enjoy your man!

And, yay, Annabeth!

I'm excited for you!!!! In May, I'll be back to the very sleepless state of newbornhood. I pray that 8 hours comes quickly for us, too! :)

Amanda--way to go in putting time with your husband before blogging. I used to have a blog, but I had to cut it out of my life because it interfered with family time. Truly, I enjoy my family time so much more! And I'm sure you will too! You go girlie!

Happy 8 hours to you and happy 8 weeks to your girl.

Also, I loved that little thing that she made Annabeth. So cute! Noodles and Milk, what a fun name!

Nothing is as soothing to a mother's heart as a baby who sleeps 8 hours straight for the first time!

Please say a prayer for my little grandson who was born yesterday. Just like his big brother, he had to be whisked away to NICU due to a breathing problem. He is much better - Praise God, but he still has to stay in NICU for possible a week. Pray for my daughter Ashlie as well.

THanks so much - I just love you and your mom!

wow. so happy for you and the 8 hrs! the 2 yr old twins who normally sleep 11 hrs (oo sorry for even mentioning that) have NOT been sleeping on the road well. we've had lots of 2:30/4:30 unexpected wake-up calls in the last few weeks. gross. will pray your little angel decides that 8 hrs of sleeping was something she'd like to do a little more often. :)

ditto to shelly's fist pump. i may follow suit.

Yeah for 8 hours, Amanda! It's surely wonderful, isn't it? How have the last few nights been? I hope you and your hubby have enjoyed having evenings together this week! For some reason, I think you'll have at least a story or two to share about your week soon. :) Hope you sleep really well tonight!!

Missy said...

Oh, now THAT is a reason for PRAISE!!!

Do you feel like a new woman???

And how cute is it that your mom left a comment.

My mom reads my blog but - leaving a comment? Bless her heart, she did learn how to work the DVR this year. Let's not ask for much more.

Oh the sleep when a little one partakes!!!!!!!!

I wanted to send you a link to some awesome bible memorization. It is by John Piper, and it is like standing under a good full stream shower. Hope you have the time to listen...it is well worth it.

Amanda, thanks for reminding me to get off the computer and spend time with my hubby. I already read your blog yesterday morning and then popped it open again last night when your words sat there glaring at me from my screen. My hubby was sitting just behind me watching the OU women play basketball. I immediately turned off the computer and sat down on the sofa with him. We talked about how amazing those girls were. Nothing personal, deep, earthshattering, spiritual or even family oriented but we did share a good game. Thanks!

And here I am reading your post at exactly midnight as well. Good thoughts - I think I need to follow suit, too.
Great Etsy shops!

I have the same problem...computer time once Daddy gets home, that is. I commend you for recognizing where your priorities should be.
