What's Old is New Again

Either Annabeth's legs have grown at an alarming rate...

...Or someone's trying to reclaim his old car seat.

The car seat he hated with a fiery passion, I might add.

Hah! My son did that too! He went thru this whole, "I want to be the baby again" stage when our second was born..

He's so handsome!

This is so funny. I can remember my kids doing things like this and now my youngest daughter is experiencing it. He little boy jsut turned 2 and she is expecting #2 in about 4 weeks. Lately she finds Bryton in the baby's room alot. In the crib. In the closet. In the toys. And he wants to get in the baby swing. A swing he HATED!

Hang in there - the fun is just starting. You have 2 beautiful youngins!

Too funny it was Jackson :)
Wait until he tries to climb into the baby swing like my 4YO did :)

In a few months you will hear a "Mom! Mom! I'm stuck!!" and then have to pry his bottom out of the exersaucer.

LOL! My son, who hated his car seat, did the same thing when sissy came along.

Just wait until you find him in the baby swing. Don't think it can't happen!

This is so cute. My 3 year old granddaughter did the same thing about 8 months ago with her little (10 month old) brother's car seat.
My step-daughter has also captured pictures of her climbing into his crib, bassinet, bouncer and whatever else she wanted to try out again.

Yes, Amanda, all of my older children played in the baby things when a new one came along. It was very cute!!

Rebekah and Abigail are 13 months apart so when Abigail came along Rebekah all of the sudden decided that she liked things like the bouncy seat that she didn't care a bit for before. It was so funny to watch try and reclaim her old stuff.

It is funny how they revert except when it comes to "potty reversion" or "breast reversion". Let's hope that doesn't happen.

VERY TYPICAL for older sibs. That mister is too cute for words! If Curtis Jones ever wanted a "mini-me", he sure got one!

ha ha! that reminds me of the time when my sister was born and I insisted on sitting in a highchair at a resturant...and got stuck in it!....

Isn't that how it always works? Always hate it until its not theirs any more.

My girlfriend has a three year old son, and just had a baby boy three weeks ago. She was breaking out all of his old clothes and shoes for the new baby and her three year old was pitching a fit that he couldn't wear his old Thomas the train shoes. They were a size 5 and he is now a 10, but somehow he managed to smoosh his feet into them and wore them ALL DAY. He kept saying, "these no ouchies mamma!" haha!

My son did the same thing when his baby sister came home! He did it with the crib, bouncy seat, stroller... all the things he had begged to be done with!
In all the home movies he also sticks his head in front of the camera whenever we would film her! We all laugh about all the home movies starring him! Too fun!

Little Lucas did the same thing! LOL He has grown out of doing that and now immitates her crying when he wants something...and then he laughs hysterically because she is laughing at him! So much fun!

Great pictures! Did you think he had grown a foot when you saw him after having Annabeth? He's just a real cutie--those eyes are amazing!

We have the same car seat and my son Caleb (now 2 1/2) despised it as well. Cried every time we put him in it in fact. Now our 3mo old Aubrie occupies it, and mister wants to sit in it all the time. I should mention she doesn't like it either. What's a Mom to do?!

By the way I greatly enjoy reading your blog. Just recently being pregnant myself, I can relate to the fun journey that lies on the flipside.

Thanks for sharing your journey...Janette

he's so adorable! Girl put a book on his head -- he's growing up too fast. They just seem to do that.

I just posted baby sweetness pictures on my blog in honor of my baby girl's 16th birthday. She drove to school today BY HERSELF! No, really, I'm okay -- but prayers are accepted and encouraged.

They just aren't baby sweetness long enough, are they?

Yeah ~ I remember my oldest doing that too right before her little sister arrived. Everything for the baby was suddenly hers again - carseat, swing, highchair, babybed. When little sister arrived, big sister even introduced her as "daddy's baby". She was still "mommy's baby" in her 3 year old mind! :)

has he gotten underneath her play gym yet? that's twice as fun for a two year old! :) love, k
